Warm reception for Field Marshal Asim Munir in U.S. triggers panic in India

Islamabad: India has been gripped by anxiety and unease following Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s recent visit to the United States and his high-level meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Field Marshal Asim Munir received an exceptional welcome in the United States, marked by strong expressions of goodwill and respect, causing visible discomfort in New Delhi. In response, India’s Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement attempting to downplay the strengthening Pakistan-U.S. relations. However, the Modi-led government’s diplomatic efforts to maintain its international image continue to falter.

India’s narrative surrounding “Operation Sindhoor” also came under scrutiny. While New Delhi claimed it was a “measured and non-provocative” operation, the mission’s outright failure has exposed the hollow nature of such claims. The international community has taken note of India’s aggressive posture and the false flag operation in Pahalgam that served as a pretext for military escalation.

Observers have noted that it was India that initiated aggression, while Pakistan’s response was strictly in accordance with the UN Charter and focused on legitimate self-defense. Indian claims of inflicting damage on Pakistani forces have been contradicted by independent sources, which have also acknowledged Pakistan Air Force’s clear superiority during the confrontation.

Pakistan’s successful downing of Indian warplanes and its air dominance forced India to face a humiliating setback. Despite Prime Minister Modi’s rhetoric of peace, the international community remains aware that his administration is known for pursuing hostile policies against neighboring countries.

Field Marshal Asim Munir’s rising international stature, particularly his role in fostering regional stability, has further cemented Pakistan’s image as a responsible and peace-seeking nation—something that continues to rattle New Delhi’s strategic calculus.
