Owaisi denounces Modi govt for signing deal with Israel
Says India supporting genocidal regime overseeing Gaza massacre
New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed the BJP-led Indian government for signing a bilateral investment treaty with Israel at a time when Tel Aviv is committing genocide in Gaza.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Owaisi said the agreement signed by Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman with her Israeli counterpart amounted to supporting a regime responsible for ethnic cleansing and famine in Gaza. He termed the move “despicable” and against India’s national interest.
Owaisi wrote on social media that “supporting a genocidal government is not in national interest” and warned that such deals expose New Delhi’s complicity in war crimes. He accused the Modi regime of aligning with forces hostile to the oppressed Palestinian people while ignoring global calls to stop Israel’s atrocities.
