Indian police raid and search houses of Jamaat-e-Islami in Sopore
Srinagar: Indian police raided and searched the houses of Jamaat-e-Islami members in Sopore town of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police on Wednesday carried out search operations at the residences of Jamaat-e-Islami members, including Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Tanveer Ahmad Dar, in the Zaloora area of Sopore, as part of its ongoing crackdown against pro-freedom and peace-loving activists.
The house raids and searches were conducted under the draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Police personnel seized several documents, including house papers, bank records and books.
