May 10 day of Pakistan’s new birth when it shot down six Indian aircraft: Ikhtiar Wali

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information Ikhtiar Wali Khan has said that May 10 is the day of Pakistan’s new birth when Pakistan shot down six Indian aircraft and destroyed its pride.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ikhtiar Wali Khan addressing a ceremony in Islamabad said that India imposed a war on Pakistan, but Pakistan fought it with patience, courage and a message of peace.

“We had said no war, peace is better, but the enemy considered our peace-loving attitude as weakness,” he said, adding this was the first war in history in which the world recognized Pakistan’s success.

Akhtyar Wali said Pakistan’s army is protecting the borders, the political leadership is defending the country on the diplomatic front. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the US not for any assistance but for negotiations on an equal footing, which is a clear example of Pakistan’s self-confidence.

He termed the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir as unparalleled and said the strong guidance of both has given the nation a new direction.

Akhtyar Wali clarified that Pakistan supports the position of the Palestinian people and will accept only the solution that is acceptable to the Palestinian leadership.
