Cop injured at Jammu firing incident, four policemen hurt in Poonch mishap
Jammu: A police Constable suffered severe injuries due to a gunshot from his service weapon at Jammu Railway Station.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Constable Showkat Ahmad who hails from Islamabad district received injuries in his abdomen after his service rifle went off around 8:30 AM on Sunday morning while he was on duty at the Railway Station, a police official said.
“He was immediately taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where he is responding to the treatment,” the police official said.
In another incident, at least four policemen were injured after their vehicle met with an accident in Gursai Mendhar area of Poonch district. The vehicle carrying cops skidded off the road which resulted in the accident.
Injuring four policemen. The injured cops were shifted to the Sub-District Hospital Mendhar for treatment.
