Congress mocks Modi’s ‘56-inch chest’ amid silence on Trump’s claims of averting India-Pakistan war
New Delhi: India’s main opposition party, the Congress, has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks about averting a war between India and Pakistan, during which Trump highlighted the downing of seven Indian aircraft.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh took to X, stating that during his speech at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea, President Trump not only detailed the India-Pakistan conflict but also mentioned, for the 56th time, his role in preventing the war and the destruction of seven aircraft.
Ramesh pointed out that despite these repeated statements, Prime Minister Modi has remained “criminally silent.” He further mocked Modi’s claims of having a “56-inch chest,” saying that the Indian Prime Minister’s silence has exposed his weak position and reduced his once-boasted “chest” to nothing.
Notably, following the Pahalgam false-flag operation on April 22, India launched an unprovoked attack on Pakistan in early May, leading to a strong retaliatory response. Pakistan shot down over seven Indian fighter jets, including the newly acquired Rafale jets.
Despite President Trump’s repeated assertions that he mediated a ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed nations, India has consistently denied his involvement in the process.
