Protests to be held in IIOJK on Friday against Modi-Netanyahu’s unholy nexus

Srinagar: Protest demonstrations will be held across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow, Friday, against the aggression on Iran and to express solidarity with the Iranian people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the call for peaceful protests has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference against what it said unholy Modi-Netanyahu;s unholy nexus against humanity, particularly Muslims. The demonstrations will take place after Friday prayers in different parts of the occupied territory.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, urged Kashmiris to participate in the protests and collectively register their opposition to the anti-Muslim policies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said the demonstrations would also highlight the continuing repression by the BJP-led government in the occupied territory.

The APHC strongly condemned restrictions on media and social media platforms in Kashmir and stressed the need to protect press freedom and democratic rights. The spokesman also deplored the silence of world powers over the US-Israel attack on Iran and India’s actions in Kashmir, describing both as two sides of the same coin when it comes to state oppression.

He said curfew-like restrictions, internet shutdowns and forceful crackdowns have become routine measures used by the authorities to suppress dissent and restrict political expression in the territory.
