Delhi court extends police custody of 2 Kashmiris in Red Fort Blast case

New Delhi: A Delhi court has extended the police custody of two Kashmiri men, Zameer Ahmad Ahangar and Tufail Ahmad Butt, illegally detained in the Red Fort area blast conspiracy, by five days.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Special Judge Pitambar Dutt extended their NIA custody after conducting in-camera proceedings.

The detainees, from Ganderbal and Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested in February the fake charge of being involved in the conspiracy. The NIA had sought a 15-day extension, citing the need to investigate further. The court had previously remanded them to 10 days of NIA custody, which was extended by five days on March 6.

The investigation is ongoing, with 11 arrests made so far. The blast occurred on November 10, 2025.
