“Modi bows to America, Israel”: Priyanka Gandhi slams Indian PM over soaring prices, job crisis

Trivandrum: Congress leader and parliamentarian Priyanka Gandhi has sharply criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to “stand up for India” and its people amid rising LPG and fuel prices.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a public gathering in Kollam, Kerala, Gandhi said, “LPG and fuel prices are rising, making traide and daily life increasingly difficult. Amid all this, what is the policy of our central government under Narendra Modi? He is not fighting for his people. He is not standing up for India. All he is doing is bowing down to America and Israel.”

Her remarks come in the backdrop of a recent hike in LPG cylinder prices effective from April 1, which raised costs of commercial and smaller cylinders across major Indian cities.

Targeting Indian government’s policies, Gandhi added, “Modi is himself compromised, which is why he bows to Trump. Who bears the cost? You pay the price, you struggle against price rise. You work hard to educate your children, but they cannot get jobs because job creation has not happened in the last 10 years.”
