‘Pakistan obsession’: Green-white balloon found in Jammu’s Arnia sparks police investigation

Jammu: A balloon, suspected by authorities to be linked to Pakistan on account of its colour scheme, was recovered early Saturday in the Arnia area of Jammu district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, promping a swift police response.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the object was spotted near Garore Nala within the jurisdiction of the Border Police Post Sai in the Arnia sector. Following the alert, a police team rushed to the location and secured the area.

The balloon, described as green and white in color, was found lying on the Sardari Playground and was subsequently taken into custody by the police team. It was later shifted to Border Police Post Sai for examination, where it is being reportedly assessed in accordance with established procedures.

Officials said an investigation has been initiated to determine the origin and intended purpose of the object.

This incident once again underscores India’s ongoing fixation on Pakistan, often resulting in disproportionate security responses to routine or low-risk occurrences.
