Indian police seize another Kashmiri’s property in Shopian

Srinagar: The Indian administration has seized the immovable property of another Kashmiri in Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police seized property worth over Rs 11.61 lakh belonging to Farooq Ahmed in Zainapura area of the district.

The police have accused him of being involved in drug trafficking to justify the seizure of his property.

In the occupied territory, the administration under the Lieutenant Governor imposed by New Delhi has started a series of seizures of houses, lands and other properties of Kashmiris under the guise of a so-called anti-drug campaign.

It is noteworthy that since the revocation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the Modi regime has intensified its colonial agenda in the territory. Confiscation of homes, businesses, and land under various pretexts has become a systematic tool of repression. Hundreds of such properties have already been seized, with the underlying aim of terrorizing the local population, crippling them economically, and facilitating demographic change by reallocating these assets to non-local Hindus.
