India diaspora urged to enter US politics to counter anti-India sentiment

Washington : Indian-American lawmakers have urged the diaspora to contest elections and take a more active role in public life amid rising incidents of anti-India and anti-Hindu hate in the US.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a Capitol Hill event organised by the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi said Indian-Americans are “facing new challenges” with a rise in anti-Desi hate.
