APHC leaders pray for speedy recovery of Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the road traffic accident involving senior Hurriyat leader Haji Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Adil Mushtaq Wani and other senior Hurriyat leaders, in a joint statement issued in Islamabad, prayed for the veteran Kashmiri leader’s swift and complete recovery. They described the news of Sumjhi being injured as extremely distressing for the entire Hurriyat leadership and the Kashmiri people.
The leaders said Haji Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi is among the most sincere, steadfast and respected figures of the Kashmir freedom movement. He has dedicated his entire life to the cause of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, freedom and national identity. His political and public services remain a valuable asset to the movement.
In this hour of trial, the entire APHC leadership, workers and the Kashmiri diaspora stand in complete solidarity with Sumjhi and his family, the statement added.
The Hurriyat leaders prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the senior leader full health, relief from pain and strength to continue serving the Kashmir cause.
