Former Bar president Mian Qayoom, others charge-sheet by Indian police in IIOJK
Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, police filed a charge-sheet before the designated NIA Court, Srinagar, sixteen years after the registration of an FIR against former President of High Court Bar Association Mian Abdul Qayoom, former Vice President Advocate Aijaz Bedar, Advocate G.N. Shaheen and deceased Advocate Bilal Ahmad Bhat in connection with a false case registered at the Police Station, Maisuma, on March 29, 2010.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the charge-sheet was submitted before the designated NIA Court for judicial consideration under 13 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and 188RPC.
With the filing of the charge-sheet after nearly 16 years, the matter has now formally entered the trial stage.
The designated NIA Court has listed the case for August 12, 2026, for further proceedings.
