Campaign against pro-freedom people, police search public transport in IIOJK
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police conducted extensive searches across Srinagar’s public transport network in the name of ongoing campaign against pro-freedom people.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation covered buses, minibuses, taxis, private cabs and other passenger vehicles at multiple locations across Srinagar. Police officials said teams carried out systematic checks of vehicles, verified the identity of passengers and drivers, and examined relevant documents in accordance with established legal procedures.
The exercise was termed part of preventive and intelligence-led measures aimed at ensuring a “safe and secure environment”. Senior police officers supervised the operations to ensure effective execution.
Police claimed the searches were conducted in a “professional and courteous manner”.
