Martyrs’ sacrifices will continue to inspire Kashmir’s incoming generations: Saghar
Islamabad: Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, paid homage to to Burhan Wani and his associates on their martyrdom anniversary, emphasizing that the supreme sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri martyrs would continue to inspire the Kashmir’s future generations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement in Islamabad said, “The martyrs who offered their blood, sweat and tears for the noble cause hold a special place in our hearts”. He added that it was these sacrifices that brought the Kashmir dispute into global prominence from obscurity.
Highlighting Burhan Wani’s pivotal role in revitalizing the ongoing resistance movement, the DFP leader remarked that Shaheed Burhan not only rejuvenated the freedom struggle but also strengthened the people’s belief in achieving the cherished goal of liberation from India’s occupation.
“The struggle for liberation will persist until freedom dawns,” he affirmed, adding the armed struggle will cease to exist once the Indian government shuns its traditional policy of intransigence and agrees to resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Saghar also called upon the international community to take serious notice of the deteriorating situation IIOJK, urging global powers to abandon their policy of indifference and view Kashmir outside the Indian narrative. He underscored that the Kashmir dispute is fundamentally a political dispute requiring a peaceful resolution.
APHC-AJK leader, Zahid Ashraf in a statement issued in Islamabad also paid tribute to Burhan Wani, saying that the martyred leader injected a new spirit into the freedom movement and inspired the youth with renewed vigor. He reiterated Kashmiris’ steadfast commitment to advancing Burhan Wani’s mission alongside that of numerous other martyrs.
