Seminar on historic Pak-Saudi defence agreement held in Islamabad
Islamabad: A seminar on “Pak-Saudi defence agreement: Its impact on Kashmir and the global political landscape” was organized at National Press Club in Islamabad, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the seminar was organised in collaboration with Ittehad-e-Islami, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and Youth Council of Pakistan.
Young students from various universities, youth leaders, and prominent personalities participated in it.
The special guest of the seminar was Ikhtiar Wali Khan, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan who said that it was not a general agreement or a hasty decision. He said this agreement was supposed to be made many years ago, but some internal and external anarchist parties and anti-national forces, at the behest of foreign masters, stopped this agreement and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He said that Z.A Bhutto decided to make an atomic bomb, Benazir and the Pakistani army took it forward, Nawaz Sharif completed it and announced Pakistan’s nuclear power at the global level and carried out nuclear explosions.
He said Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif not only completed the concept of an Islamic atomic bomb by signing a defence agreement with Saudi Arabia, but also made Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Ummah a nuclear power.
Azad Kashmir minister Ms Imtiaz Naseem, said it is the privilege of Pakistan that it is a globally recognized nuclear power and it is a matter of pride and happiness that Field Marshal General Asim Munir leads the country militarily and Pakistan is protecting Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries.
She said the Kashmiri people always stand with the Pakistan Army and Pakistan, they are one soul and two bodies and no blackmail and mischievous tricks of evil elements will succeed in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
Gilgit-Baltistan government spokesman Faizullah Faraq said a strong Pakistan is the guarantee of Kashmir’s freedom and peace in the region. The Pak-Saudi defence agreement, he said, will have far-reaching effects in the Gulf and the world and it will prove to be a precursor to the freedom of Palestine and Kashmir.
He said it is necessary to maintain unity for the strength of Pakistan by eliminating regional, linguistic and group differences throughout Pakistan.
Chief Editor of Islamabad Today Sardar Shaukat addressing the seminar said Azad Kashmir is the base camp of the freedom of occupied Kashmir, which should be strengthened.
The host of the seminar, Syed Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Chairman of Ittehad-e-Islami Occupied Kashmir, said the Pak-Saudi defence agreement is a reward from Allah. He said the youth of Pakistan are lucky to have a country like Pakistan and the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Syed Manzoor Ahmed Shah said Pakistan has become stronger on the global level due to the Saudi defence agreement and it will have positive effects on Islamic countries and Kashmir.
The aim of the seminar was to raise awareness among the youth and prepare them to play an effective role in the mainstream. KMS—18A
