Hindutva mob ties Muslim woman to pole, beats her to death in Bihar

Madhubani: A Muslim woman, Roshan Khatoon, was beaten to death by a Hindutva mob in BJP-ruled Bihar’s Madhubani district after she approached the village head seeking help in a local dispute.
According to Kashmir Media Service, local reports said the attackers tied her to a pole and beat her mercilessly. Witnesses also said that she was abused during the assault.
Roshan Khatoon, according to residents, was badly injured in the attack. Her condition later worsened, and she died after the assault. News of her death spread quickly on Sunday and led to tension in the locality.
The death of Roshan Khatoon has caused anger among many residents and social activists, who are demanding strong legal action against those responsible.
A social activist from the district said, “This is a painful incident. A woman went to seek justice and lost her life. The administration must ensure that the guilty are punished.”
Another community representative said the case raises serious concerns about the safety of vulnerable people who approach local authorities for help. “People go to village leaders hoping to resolve disputes peacefully. What happened to Roshan Khatoon has shocked many families,” he said.
Local residents have called for a fair investigation and punishment for those involved in the attack.
A community elder said, “Roshan Khatoon was a poor woman who went to ask for help. Her death has deeply hurt people here. We want justice for her and safety for all citizens.”
