Light earthquake hits IIOJK

Jammu: A magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck 26 km southeast of Kishtwar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir at 4:55 am local time on Tuesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the quake’s depth is unknown but is believed to be shallow.

No reports of damage or injuries have been received, and it’s unclear if the quake was felt by locals.
