Indian BSF officer killed in fire at border outpost in West Bengal

Kolkata: A Border Security Force officer was killed in a fire that engulfed the paramilitary force’s fuel depot in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place at the Bankra border outpost (BOP) in Hingalganj along the India-Bangladesh border.

Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Jagi Ram was trapped inside the fuel dump as a huge fire followed a blast, killing the officer, the officials said.
