Mirwaiz visits Srinagar’s Rajouri Kadal, Harwan to offer condolences

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq visited Rajouri Kadal and Harwan areas of Srinagar to offer condolences to bereaved families and pray for the departed souls.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Mirwaiz visited Rajouri Kadal to express sympathies on the demise of Farooq Ahmad Butt, son of late Ghulam Mohammad Butt, who passed away after a prolonged illness.

Recalling the long association of the Butt family with the Mirwaiz household, he remembered late Ghulam Mohammad Butt as a dedicated member of the organisation who remained committed to the cause throughout his life alongside Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq.

The Mirwaiz prayed for maghfirah of the deceased and for patience and strength for his sons, daughters and family members to bear the irreparable loss.

Later, Mirwaiz visited Harwan to offer condolences to the family of renowned physician, historian and writer Dr. Javid Iqbal.

Remembering Dr. Iqbal’s immense contribution to society through scholarship, writings and public engagement, the Mirwaiz offered Fateha and prayed for his maghfirah and highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.

The visits reflect the Mirwaiz’s continued outreach to people during times of grief despite restrictions in the occupied territory.
