APHC-AJK delegation, Chief Secretary discuss conference to be held on Syed Ali Gilani’s martyrdom anniversary
Muzaffarabad: A high-level delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held an important meeting with Chief Secretary of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Khushal Khan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss mutual cooperation, administrative matters and other related matters to make the conference organized by the APHC-AJK and the Kashmir Liberation Cell on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani, effective, organized and successful.
The Hurriyat delegation was led by senior Hurriyat leader Ms Shamim Shawl, while the delegation also included senior Hurriyat leaders Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob and Mushtaq-ul-Islam.
During the meeting, along with paying tribute to the long struggle, steadfastness, principled stance and unparalleled services of Syed Ali Gilani, it was also emphasized that the conference to be held on his death anniversary should be highlighted as an effective and prestigious national and international event.
The delegation termed the cooperation of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government as important for the arrangements and successful holding of the conference. It also expressed the hope that all the relevant institutions and circles would play their role in making this important program a success in a full manner through mutual communication and cooperation.
The meeting reiterated the resolve that such activities would be continued to pass on the struggle, sacrifices and principled stance of Syed Ali Gilani to the new generation and to highlight the Kashmir dispute effectively at the global level.
