Muslim couple forced to chant Hindutva slogans in BJP-ruled Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A Muslim couple was forced by Hindutva elements to kneel and chant Hindu slogans “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Gau Mata” in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled state of Odisha.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Hindutva group forced the Muslim couple to kneel and chant the slogans “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Gau Mata” in the state capital, Bhubaneswar.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media, showing that the Hindutva self-proclaimed group of _gau rakshaks_ harassed and humiliated the Muslim couple. They were ordered to kneel, hold their ears, and repeat the slogans while the vigilantes raised “Gau Mata” chants and filmed the scene.
One of the Hindu vigilantes was heard saying, “Bol Jai Shri Ram, bol Jai Gau Mata.” Locals also joined in the sloganeering.
