Agriculture staff in Sopore, Tangmarg await pending salaries

Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, employees of the Agriculture Offices have been without salaries for the past three months, leaving them in severe financial distress.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the crisis began after the respective Agriculture Officers were attached three months ago. Since then, employees in Sopore and Tangmarg have been facing delay in salaries.

Employees said the delay has made it difficult to meet basic household expenses, pay children’s school fees, clear dues to shopkeepers, and pay monthly loan installments.

“The prolonged delay has left us in a severe financial bind. Many of us have housing and other loans,” an employee said. The staff demanded immediate release of their salaries.
