Bijapur, Chhattisgarh: Indian forces killed five tribals, including two women, in the Indian disturbed state of Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), and the District Force killed three men and two women of the tribal community during a cordon-and-search operation in Bandepara-Koranjed villages under the Madded police station limits in Bijapur district.<\/p>\n

Bodies of five Naxalites, including two women, were recovered from the site, said Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, Sundarraj P. The identities of the slain individuals are being ascertained, he added.<\/p>\n

On January 9, three tribals were killed by Indian forces during an operation in Sukma district.
\nEarlier, on January 3, one tribal man was killed by Indian forces in Gariaband district, which falls in Raipur division.<\/p>\n

On January 6, Naxalites blew up a vehicle with an IED in Bijapur district, killing eight police personnel and the driver of the vehicle.<\/p>\n
