\"\"Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Awami Action Committee (AAC), led by senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, expressed profound grief over the passing of Advocate Raja Jahangir Khan.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Advocate Jahangir Ali Khan, a well-known personality of Kathidarwaza Raja Mohalla Srinagar, passed away during the intervening night of January 13-14, 2025, at the age of 72. He was the son of the late Raja Mohammad Ayub Khan, a former General Secretary of the AAC. Due to his ill health, Raja Jahangir had to abandon his law practice but remained active in social and public welfare work.<\/p>\n

In a condolence statement in Srinagar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and AAC leadership paid rich tributes to Advocate Jahangir, highlighting his family’s unwavering dedication to the AAC\u2019s mission. They noted that Raja Mohammad Ayub had worked tirelessly under the leadership of the organisation\u2019s founder, Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, to promote its cause.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe deceased\u2019s family, including Advocate Raja Jahangir, made commendable contributions to advancing the public welfare and social mission of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir,\u201d the AAC stated.<\/p>\n

Extending heartfelt sympathies to Advocate Jahangir\u2019s son, Advocate Raja Sajid Ali Khan, and the bereaved family, the AAC prayed for Allah\u2019s mercy on the departed soul and patience for the family.<\/p>\n
