According to Kashmir Media Service, the event was organized by Friends of Kashmir International in X-space in the wake of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s recent visit to IIOJK. The speakers underscored that these injustices, persisting for over seven decades, aim to suppress the legitimate aspirations of Kashmiris for freedom and self-determination. The discussion brought to light the forced imposition of India\u2019s Hindutva policies in IIOJK, including demographic changes designed to dilute the Muslim-majority status of the occupied territory. The speakers also condemned measures forcing Muslims to act against their religious beliefs, which they described as a systematic assault on Kashmiri identity and culture. They highlighted the importance of combating Indian propaganda, which portrays Kashmir as peaceful despite ongoing massive human rights abuses.<\/p>\n
Activist Naila Altaf Kiyani emphasized, \u201cKashmiris do not want to live under Indian rule even if New Delhi paves roads of gold there\u201d.<\/p>\n
Dr. Mubeen Shah, Director of Kashmir House Turkey, called for introspection and a reassessment of strategies. He said, \u201cWe need to introspect and reassess how we are reacting to Indian atrocities and what should be our way forward in the future for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.\u201d<\/p>\n
