Srinagar: Residents of Naidkhai village in Sumbal area of Bandipora district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), staged a protest against the prolonged power outages, stating that authorities are neglecting their grievances.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, angry villagers blocked the Sopore-Sumbal road for hours, demanding immediate intervention from the Power Development Department (PDD). Protesters criticized the administration for its failure to repair a damaged transformer, which has left the area without power for over a month.<\/p>\n

The protesters stated that, instead of providing new electricity transformers, authorities mock their demands by sending faulty transformers, which develop issues again shortly after installation, compounding their misery.<\/p>\n

The residents raised slogans and said that the PDD was showing indifference to their plight, pointing out the lack of accountability and delayed action despite repeated appeals. \u201cWe are left in darkness, but the administration seems blind to our suffering,\u201d another protester remarked.<\/p>\n
