According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased soldiers were stationed at Leimaram Waroiching in Kangpokpi district, serving in the Assam Rifles stationed in disturbed Manipur. Officials from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences confirmed that five soldiers were brought to the hospital with symptoms of food poisoning. Three of them succumbed to their illness, while the other two remain under treatment.<\/p>\n

The deceased soldiers have been identified as Lance Naik Rama Shankar, Havildar Umesh Kumar, and Warrant Officer Phoolchand. Their bodies will be sent to their families after a post-mortem.<\/p>\n

A hospital doctor stated that the soldiers exhibited symptoms consistent with food poisoning but declined to comment on the exact cause of death until the autopsy report is completed.<\/p>\n

This incident highlights the ongoing concerns regarding the quality of food and supplies provided to Indian troops stationed in remote areas.
