Islamabad: Prominent legal experts have reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir remains an internationally recognized dispute under binding United Nations resolutions, rejecting India’s unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, as illegal and ineffective in altering the region\u2019s status.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, citing UN Security Council resolutions, legal analysts rejected the recent statements of Indian leaders on Kashmir and emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir is not India\u2019s internal matter but a globally acknowledged dispute, requiring a plebiscite under UN supervision.<\/p>\n

They argue that India’s demographic changes in occupied Jammu and Kashmir violate international law and amount to a war crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention.<\/p>\n

“New Delhi\u2019s hegemony cannot override international commitments. The UN\u2019s failure to enforce its resolutions undermines its credibility,” stated a senior international law expert.<\/p>\n

Experts warn that India\u2019s defiance of UN mandates threatens regional stability, urging global powers to hold New Delhi accountable and ensure the Kashmiris\u2019 right to self-determination is upheld.
