Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has stated that the Kashmir resistance movement and the demand for a plebiscite are legitimate and purely democratic.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesperson Adv Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that the notion of Jammu and Kashmir being an integral part of India is absolutely baseless. Jammu and Kashmir remains a disputed territory as per United Nations resolutions.<\/p>\n

He said, the Kashmir dispute is a dominant issue on the international political stage due to its direct link to three nuclear powers in the region: Pakistan, India, and China.<\/p>\n

Minhas categorically stated that the Kashmiri people are making sacrifices for their freedom and will never compromise on their stand, either by Indian hegemony or within the Indian constitution.<\/p>\n

He expressed hope that Pakistan and India would prefer to avoid war over Kashmir and begin a meaningful dialogue process to resolve the dispute once and for all, in accordance with the wishes of the people of Kashmir.<\/p>\n

In the changing geopolitical landscape, he said, a peaceful and honorable solution to the long-pending Kashmir dispute is within reach, as both Pakistan and India would prefer to avoid war and initiate a meaningful dialogue process to resolve the issue once and for all.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
