Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader Rattal Lal Gupta has said that unemployment has reached alarming situation across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir due to casual approach adopted by Governor rule.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, he was speaking while interacting with party functionaries from across Jammu region.<\/p>\n
The party workers apprised the senior functionaries about the hardships being faced by them due to causal approach adopted by the Lieutenant Governor led administration.<\/p>\n
Citing alarming statistics from the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) by the Indian Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, the senior NC leader highlighted that IIOJK has the highest unemployment rate at 32% among youth, with female unemployment reaching a staggering 53.6%. He stated that these figures expose the dire employment crisis, with IIOJK becoming the epicenter of youth joblessness under India. The report further revealed that unemployment among job seekers aged 15-29 in urban areas of IIOJK is the highest, underscoring the urgent need for corrective measures.<\/p>\n
Holding the LG administraiton accountable for the employment crisis, Rattan Lal Gupta criticized its failure over the past decade in generating job opportunities and addressing economic stagnation.
