Governor Manoj Sinha, the police arrived at the site today and formally seized the house. A signboard was installed at the site, which reads: \u201cThis is to inform the general public that the fully damaged residential house registered in the name of Safdar Ali Dar of Modergam, Kulgam, has been frozen or seized under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.\u201d The notice further warns that no one is permitted to purchase the property, while the owner is prohibited from selling or leasing it.<\/p>\n<p>The latest action is part of a broader pattern by Indian authorities to target and intimidate the people of IIOJK, aiming at coercing them into abandoning their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
