\"\"Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti has urged the Indian government to address the concerns of the people instead of calling the silence in the area “peaceful conditions.”<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti, while interacting with public delegations in Srinagar, expressed serious concern over the challenges and problems faced by the people. She said promises of development and employment generation were made here but nothing has changed so far.<\/p>\n

She said the decisions taken by the Modi regime in August 2019 were unconstitutional and undemocratic. She also expressed concern over the dismissal of government employees and urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to challenge the decisions taken in the Indian Parliament regarding the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Mehbooba said people’s silence should not be taken to mean that everything is fine in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The wounds inflicted over the years need to be healed through understanding and dialogue, she added.<\/p>\n

The PDP chief also expressed concern over the plight of Kashmiris lodged in Indian jails and demanded their transfer to jails in the occupied territory so that their families can meet them easily.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
