\"\"Geneva: Federal Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has expressed serious concern over the grave human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Azam Tarar while addressing the high-level segment of the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council called for the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry to investigate the systematic human rights violations in IIOJK. He urged the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to continue monitoring the human rights situation in the occupied territory and update its reports.<\/p>\n

Discussing serious human rights violations globally, Tarar strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli atrocities in occupied Palestine, particularly in Gaza. He declared forced displacement and demographic changes as violations of the fundamental principles of international law, urging the international community to take decisive actions to protect the rights of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n

The federal minister reiterated Pakistan\u2019s unwavering commitment to the promotion and protection of human rights at both national and international levels. He highlighted Pakistan’s strong legislative and policy measures, informing the council that over 70 human rights-related laws have been enacted in the last decade.<\/p>\n

Azam Nazeer Tarar also expressed deep concern over the growing trend of religious intolerance, especially Islamophobia, globally.
