{"id":169961,"date":"2025-02-27T17:24:52","date_gmt":"2025-02-27T12:24:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/?p=169961"},"modified":"2025-02-27T17:24:52","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T12:24:52","slug":"indias-narrative-on-kashmir-completely-against-international-laws-norms-wani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/2025\/02\/27\/indias-narrative-on-kashmir-completely-against-international-laws-norms-wani.html","title":{"rendered":"India&#8217;s narrative on Kashmir completely against international laws, norms: Wani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-169958 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/assests\/2025\/02\/images-43.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"384\" \/>Islamabad: Chairman of Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR) Altaf Hussain Wani has said that the Indian narrative on Kashmir is completely against international laws and norms.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kashmir Media Service, Altaf Hussain Wani in a statement in Islamabad said India has completely abolished fundamental rights and freedoms in the occupied territory and an attempt is being made to suppress dissent in the territory by force.<\/p>\n<p>He added that unjustified arrests, enforced disappearances, confiscation of properties and dismissal of Kashmiri government employees were the norm of the day.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Indian government is not ready to accept the legitimate wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiris, instead it is making nefarious attempts to change the population ratio in the occupied territory.<\/p>\n<p>Altaf Hussain Wani said the Indian government is claiming that after the abrogation of Article 370, there has been political, social and economic development in the region, however, this claim of India is completely baseless and misleading. He said India is also making baseless claims of development and construction to hide its killings and attacks on basic needs in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>He said India has adopted the habit of blaming Pakistan to divert attention from its defeat and failures in Kashmir, adding its diplomats are making baseless and misleading statements at international forums.<\/p>\n<p>He said the international community should remember that India has snatched the right to self-determination of the Kashmiris and is committing atrocities on them to suppress their voice. He said that India should recognize that true peace and stability could not be achieved through military occupation and coercion.<\/p>\n<p>It may be recalled that the Indian ambassador, continuing his traditional series of accusations against Pakistan at the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva on Wednesday, said that the allegations against India of suppressing democratic voices and engaging in human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir are baseless and malicious.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: Chairman of Kashmir Institute of International Relations (KIIR) Altaf Hussain Wani has said that the Indian narrative on Kashmir is completely against international laws and norms.
