The killings by the occupation troops rendered one woman widowed and three children orphaned.<\/p>\n<p>During the month, Indian Army, Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Special Operation Group and notorious agencies such as Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency, arrested 840 civilians, mostly political activists, youth, traders and students. Several detainees were booked under black laws such as the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA), designed to silence dissent and prolong illegal detentions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-170041\" src=\"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/assests\/2025\/03\/KMS-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"289\" \/>These killings and arrests occurred during 192 cordon-and-search operations and house raids carried out by\u00a0 Indian forces\u2019 personnel across the territory.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-170042\" src=\"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/assests\/2025\/03\/KMS2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"322\" \/>Additionally, intensifying its colonial style suppression, the highly communal and corrupted administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, under the direct control of Indian Home Minister, seized sixteen properties, including homes and land.
