New Delhi: In what critics term hypocrisy, on one hand, India has become a leading global exporter of beef, while on the other, the BJP government is enforcing stringent cow protection laws that disproportionately target Muslims.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, India\u2019s beef exports have been 1.57 million metric tons in 2024 alone, generating INR 388 billion.<\/p>\n

Despite all this, the BJP has been using cow protection laws to suppress Muslim communities, imposing harsh penalties on those involved in cow-related activities.<\/p>\n

Cow vigilante groups, associated with Hindu nationalist organizations, have been involved in violent attacks against Muslims and Dalits, under the guise of cow protection.<\/p>\n

Between 2010 and 2017, 63 cow-related attacks resulted in 28 deaths, with 24 of the victims being Muslims. This has led to an escalation of communal violence, furthering divisions within the country.<\/p>\n
