According to Kashmir Media Service, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in honor of Kashmiri journalists at the Kashmir House in Islamabad, after his visits to the United States and the United Kingdom, emphasized that any future negotiations on the Kashmir issue must be trilateral, with the participation of the Kashmiri people. He stated that the true and most significant stakeholders in the Kashmir issue are the Kashmiri people, who must decide their own future.<\/p>\n
He further stated that Modi\u2019s Hindutva policies have proven that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah\u2019s decision to create Pakistan based on the two-nation theory was absolutely correct, as the way India is treating the Kashmiri people and minorities in India makes it clear that India is not the world\u2019s largest democracy but rather a Hindu dictatorship.<\/p>\n
The President of Azad Kashmir also affirmed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will never compromise on the unity of Kashmir. Following his recent visits to the United States and the United Kingdom, he mentioned that India has now found itself on the defensive globally. He stressed that this is the moment to make the international community aware that if the Kashmir issue is not resolved, the threat of nuclear war will continue to loom over South Asia. He added that global peace is conditional upon the resolution of the Kashmir issue.<\/p>\n
During his visits, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry called on the international community to take immediate steps to resolve the Kashmir issue and end the ongoing atrocities in IIOJK. He made it clear in meetings with British Parliament members and U.S. Congress members that if the world wants peace in South Asia, it must exert pressure on India to grant the Kashmiri people their internationally recognized right to self-determination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
