As Ganie spoke, BJP MLA Sham Lal Sharma interrupted, asking him to talk about 1931. &#8220;They are our heroes,&#8221; responded NC MLA Altaf Kaloo in defense of the martyrs of July 13.<\/p>\n<p>Sunil Sharma then countered by calling them &#8220;traitors,&#8221; sparking outrage among NC and other Kashmir-based members. The comments led to an uproar in the House, with CPI (M) leader Muhammad Yosouf Tarigami urging the Speaker to take immediate notice of Sharma&#8217;s remarks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDerogatory remarks were made against the martyrs of 1931. Maintain the decorum of the House. You are the true traitors,\u201d Tarigami said, pointing at BJP legislators. MLA Langate Khursheed Sheikh also called for the expunging of Sharma&#8217;s remarks.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the uproar, the Speaker intervened and expunged the offensive comments made by BJP MLA Sunil Sharma.<\/p>\n<p>This incident follows a similar one few days back, when PDP MLA Waheed Parra sought the restoration of the public holiday for July 13, 1931.
