Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has said that peace and occupation cannot coexist and stressed that resolution of the Kashmir dispute is imperative for peace and development in the South Asian region.<\/p>\n

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas talking to Kashmir Media Service in Srinagar urged India to understand ground realities, shun rigidity and confrontation and find ways and means to resolve Kashmir dispute. \u201cIf you want peace and development in the region, you shall have to address Kashmir dispute as per right to self-determination acknowledged by the United Nations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that Kashmir dispute had gone beyond traditional contours. No alternative is available with either Pakistan or India other than talks. Dialogue is more important than those threats they time and again unleash against each other, he stressed. The spokesman said, we should understand that without dialogue nothing can happen.<\/p>\n

He has strongly denounced the continued illegal detentions of thousands of Kashmiris including Massart Alam Butt, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Fahmeeda Sofi, Nahida Nasreen, Nayeem Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Syed Shahid Yousuf Shah, Syed Shakeel Yousuf Shah, Mushtaq ul Islam, Bilal Siddiqi, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Ameer Hamza, Dr Hameed Fayaz, Abdul Ahad Parra, Noor Muhammad Fayaz, Hayat Ahmed Butt, Showket Hakeem, Zaffar Akbar Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Falahi, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Dr Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, Advocate Muhammad Ashraf Butt, Firdous Ahmed Shah, Sadullah Parrey, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai, Zahoor Ahmed Butt, Umar Adil Dar, Saleem Nanaji, Muhammad Yasin Butt, Advocate Zahid Ali, Fayaz Hussain Jaferi, Adil Siraj Zargar, Dawood Zargar, human rights defender Khurrum Parvaiz, youth and women.<\/p>\n
