Jammu: Indian forces have carried out an extensive joint mock drill along the Jammu-Srinagar highway to instill fear among residents of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, although the stated aim of the exercise was to ensure safety of the annual Amarnath Yatra 2025 and assess the preparedness of the forces and civil administration, the real purpose is to intimidate Kashmiri masses.<\/p>\n

Buses were sent under full security cover during the drill to “test the readiness and coordination of various forces units”.<\/p>\n

Jammu Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya said the entire dry run process was being monitored closely. \u201cThe Divisional Commissioner, IG, and all senior officers are monitoring the entire dry run process of the drill. At the same time, all preparations have been completed here,\u201d he said while addressing reporters.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, a similar mock landslide drill was jointly conducted by the Indian Army, CRPF, Police, and the Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Force (JKSDRF) in Samroli and Toldi Nallah \u2014 key stretches along the Jammu-Srinagar highway.<\/p>\n
