\"\"New Delhi: Death toll from a massive explosion at a chemical factory in the Indian state of Telangana rose to 39, with many others injured.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the blast occurred at the drying unit of Sigachi Industries Private Limited in the Pashamylaram industrial area near Hyderabad, the other day. The explosion triggered a major fire that caused part of the building to collapse, trapping several workers under the debris.<\/p>\n

Rescue teams rushed to the site and are engaged in efforts to locate and recover those still trapped under the rubble.<\/p>\n

Industrial accidents have become alarmingly frequent in India due to poor enforcement of safety regulations and outdated infrastructure. According to the International Labour Organization, over 47,000 industrial deaths were recorded in India in 2003 alone, although experts believe the real figures are much higher due to under-reporting.<\/p>\n

India was also the site of one of the deadliest industrial disasters in history\u2014the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy\u2014when a toxic gas leak from the Union Carbide plant killed over 15,000 people and left many more suffering from long-term health effects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
