According to Kashmir Media Service, multiple vehicles fell into the Mahisagar River and a tanker hung precariously on the edge, when the 43-year-old bridge in Gujarat\u2019s Vadodara district collapsed.<\/p>\n

Vadodara Superintendent of Police Rohan Anand put the death toll at 11. An hour later, rescue teams recovered one more body \u2014 of one of the three feared drowned, officials said.<\/p>\n

A case of accidental death has been registered, and police will begin a probe after rescue operations are over. \u201cWe will also seek an inquiry report from the District Collector,\u201d Anand said, adding that the bodies have been taken to Padra Referral Hospital for autopsy.<\/p>\n
