Islamabad: Pakistan has said that investigations into the Pahalgam incident remain inconclusive and firmly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations with zero tolerance.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan in a statement reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s stance against terrorism, saying that the country has \u201ceffectively and comprehensively dismantled\u201d banned outfits.<\/p>\n
The statement follows the US State Department\u2019s decision on Thursday to designate a little-known group called The Resistance Front (TRF) as a foreign terrorist organisation (FTO) and specially designated global terrorist (SDGT) group.<\/p>\n
“As Pakistan continues to remain counter-terrorism bulwark through unparalleled sacrifices and efficacy, we urge the international community to adopt objective and non-discriminatory policies to address this global menace through collective efforts.”<\/p>\n
“While the issue under consideration pertains to US domestic laws, India has a track record of exploiting such designations to push anti-Pakistan propaganda with a view to divert international attention from its irresponsible and rogue behavior, including ongoing human rights atrocities, especially in occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n
The FO\u2019s statement also urged the international community to \u201cadopt objective and non-discriminatory policies\u201d to address terrorism.<\/p>\n
\u201cTerrorist organisations like Majeed Brigade must also be listed as [an] alias of BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army),\u201d the FO asserted.<\/p>\n
“Pakistan has been, and is a frontline state against terrorism, and has contributed tremendously towards achievement of global peace through its counter-terrorism efforts including apprehension of Terrorist Sharifullah, the mastermind of Abbey Gate Bombing,” the FO concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
