Dehradun: At least six people were killed and over 25 others were injured in a stampede during a Hindu religious event in the BJP-ruled Indian state of Uttarakhand.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred due to overcrowding in the Mansa Devi Temple premises in Haridwar, as thousands of Hindu devotees thronged the sacred site during the ongoing holy month of Shravan.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses reported chaos as people began pushing each other while waiting in queues, resulting in panic and a sudden rush.<\/p>\n

Rescue and relief operations were initiated. Medical teams and ambulances reached the site, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for immediate treatment.<\/p>\n

Stampedes during large Hindu religious gatherings are routinely reported in India, where safety measures and crowd management protocols are often inadequate.<\/p>\n
