Srinagar: Local residents and political analysts have rejected Indian Home Minister Amit Shah\u2019s assertion that three youths killed in a military operation in Srinagar\u2019s Dachigam area were involved in Pahalgam attack, saying that the victims were innocent and killed in a staged encounter.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service , the locals dismissed Shah\u2019s attempt to tie the martyred youths to the Pahalgam assault as baseless. They maintained that the encounter was staged to wage propaganda against Kashmiris and Pakistan after humiliating defeat in the wake of Operation Sindoor.<\/p>\n

Political observers in Srinagar noted that the BJP-led government is resorting to such tactics to deflect mounting criticism, particularly after senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram challenged the official narrative. Analysts suggested the timing\u2014just during the Parliament\u2019s monsoon session, where the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor are being discussed\u2014indicates a deliberate attempt to manipulate public perception.<\/p>\n
