New Delhi: Shiv Sena (UBT) has questioned the Modi government\u2019s narrative around the recent killing of three alleged militants in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the supposed mastermind behind the Pahalgam attack.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a hard-hitting editorial in the party\u2019s mouthpiece \u2018Saamana\u2019, the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction said that the ruling BJP was fabricating stories to deflect criticism in Parliament over \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019.<\/p>\n
The editorial said that while the discussion on \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019 was going on in the Parliament, the news of the killing of three militants in the Kashmir Valley came. \u201cIt was said that one of them, Suleman, was the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack. Will anyone believe this now? The people have lost faith in the government\u201d, it said.<\/p>\n
The Shiv Sena (UBT) said that the announcement was a political move meant to blunt opposition criticism. \u201cTo avoid the bombardment by the opposition party in the Parliament on Operation Sindoor, the government is adopting the tactic of fabricating cases like Suleman. The government has been exposed in the Lok Sabha\u201d, Saamana stated.<\/p>\n
The Saamana editorial went on to state that Prime Minister Modi had warned Pakistanis that \u2018water and blood will not flow together\u2019, \u201cbut with the grace of Jai Shah [an Indian cricket administrator and businessman, and the Chairman of the International Cricket Council], the India-Pakistan cricket match is definitely going to happen. What does Amit Shah have to say on this?\u201d<\/p>\n
The Thackeray camp further said in the editorial, \u201cIt is pitiful when many BJP bhakts [supporters] praise PM Modi\u2019s war strategy. The same prime minister, who made the vice president of the country resign due to ideological differences, could not take the resignation of Amit Shah as the home minister after the Pahalgam attack.
