New Delhi: Indian National Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, expressed agreement with US President Donald Trump\u2019s recent statement describing the Indian economy as \u201cdead\u201d. Gandhi said he was \u201cglad\u201d that the US President has stated a fact.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking with reporters in the Parliament House complex in New Dehli, Rahul Gandhi said everybody except Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman know that India is a \u201cdead economy\u201d. He also said that the BJP-led government has destroyed India\u2019s economic, defence and foreign policies. Gandhi further said that a trade deal with the US will happen and Trump will define it, while Prime Minister Modi will do what the American President tells him to do.<\/p>\n

Gandhi\u2019s remarks came after US President Donald Trump announced the imposition of 25 per cent tariff and penalties on India and called India and Russia \u201cdead economies\u201d. Asked about Trump\u2019s criticism of the Indian economy, Gandhi said, \u201cHe is right, everybody knows this except the prime minister and the finance minister, Everybody knows that the Indian economy is a dead economy. I am glad that President Trump has stated a fact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Congress leader said that the BJP has destroyed the Indian economy in order to help billionaire Gautam Adani.<\/p>\n

On one hand, the US is abusing you and on the other hand China is after, and thirdly when you send delegations across the globe then no country condemns Pakistan. How are they running the country?
