{"id":180407,"date":"2025-08-03T08:00:37","date_gmt":"2025-08-03T03:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/?p=180407"},"modified":"2025-08-03T08:00:37","modified_gmt":"2025-08-03T03:00:37","slug":"aphc-reiterates-call-for-observance-of-black-day-on-aug-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/2025\/08\/03\/aphc-reiterates-call-for-observance-of-black-day-on-aug-5.html","title":{"rendered":"APHC reiterates call for observance of Black Day on Aug 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-180408\" src=\"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/assests\/2025\/08\/5-aug-aphc-ajk-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has reiterated its call for observance of August 5, Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, as Black Day in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to send a strong message to the world that India is an illegal occupier and that Kashmiris will continue to resist the BJP government&#8217;s anti-Kashmir agenda until they achieve the UN-granted right to self-determination.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kashmir Media Service, it was on August 5, 2019, that the Hindutva RSS-backed Indian BJP government scrapped Articles 370 and 35-A of IIOJK in brazen violation of international law.<\/p>\n<p>The All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, reiterated the appeal to observe August 5\u2014Tuesday\u2014as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir and Black Day. He said the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing severe Indian military and police terrorism and have remained under siege for most of the past six years for their just demand of a UN-supervised plebiscite.<\/p>\n<p>Other APHC leaders, including Fayaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Farooq Ahmed, Shabbir Ahmed, Hafiza and Fehmida in their separate statements issued in Srinagar, said that August 5, 2019, remains one of the blackest days in the history of IIOJK.
